Toddler Approved Banana Cookies

Dylan has been a bit off his food the last few days due to painful gums from teething so I’ve been trying to cook his favourite foods to try and entice him to eat something. One thing he can’t get enough of is banana so I thought I’d try and create some healthy banana cookies for him. To say they went down well is an understatement. They were so simple to make and Dylan had lots of fun helping me bake them and licking the bowl!

Toddler Approved Banana Cookies

A healthy but tasty treat for little ones
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 12 minutes
Course Snack
Servings 10 cookies

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • Handful raisins

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  • Use a blender or food processor to blitz all ingredients except for the raisins.
  • Mix through the raisins.
  • Put spoonfuls of the mixture onto the baking tray and squash into the shape of a cookie. The cookies don't really spread while cooking so you want to try and get them flat-ish and circular at this point.
  • Bake for 12 minutes for a chewy cookie or slightly longer if you'd prefer them crunchier.

    Hi Helena,
    The banana cookies look yummy.
Banana’s are very delicious and tasty fruit. It is nutritious, and perfect for every age. Including bananas in your kid’s diet offers several beneficial nutrients for heart health, digestion, bone strength, and many more. Banana is also a rich source of energy which is very beneficial for kids. Also, Oats contains high amounts of fibre, magnesium, iron and zinc which again is very healthy. Combining both of them is superb for health especially for kids.
    Thanks for sharing the recipe.
